Undergraduate research assistant Clare Chie was awarded first place at the 2021 University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum (UURAF) for her independent research project! Clare found that having a positive relationship with an adult was protective against both chronic & occasional drug use among justice-involved youth, accounting for gender. In addition to her work being recognized at UURAF, she presented her findings to the Ingham County 30th Circuit Court- Family Division Juvenile Risk Assessment Team, and discussed ways to use her findings in case planning for youth on probation.
